模制瓶屬無機(jī)類材料硅酸鹽制品，基礎(chǔ)化學(xué)成份為鈉—鈣—硅酸鹽玻璃和硼—硅酸鹽玻璃，其物理、化學(xué)性質(zhì)穩(wěn)定，不存在分解、變質(zhì)等因素。采用ISO標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，產(chǎn)品入庫檢驗(yàn)按GB2828標(biāo)準(zhǔn)抽樣控制。

藥品粉針制劑的包裝約70％使用模制瓶，其余使用管制瓶（摘自2001年3月31日中國醫(yī)藥報(bào)《我國藥用玻璃包裝的現(xiàn)狀與前景》），且呈逐步上升趨勢(shì)。模制瓶的優(yōu)勢(shì)在于廉、強(qiáng)度高，管制瓶外型美觀，但價(jià)格較高且易破碎。模制瓶以其優(yōu)良的化學(xué)穩(wěn)定性被大量、廣泛地用于抗生素類粉針劑的包裝，用量約為抗生素粉針總量的70—80％。從國內(nèi)外抗生素粉針包裝的發(fā)展趨勢(shì)看，模制瓶仍將占據(jù)主導(dǎo)地位。
