網帶式烘干機主要原理是將物料均勻的平鋪在網帶上，由傳動裝置拖動在干燥機內往返移動，熱風在物料間穿流而過，水蒸氣從排濕孔中排出，從而達到干燥的目的。網帶采用12-60目的鋼絲網帶，箱體長度由標準段組合而成，為了節約場地，可將烘干機制成多層式，常見的有二室三層、二室五層、長度6-40m，有效寬度0.6-3.0m
